President Trump taught Jeff Sessions and a very humbling lesson on Wednesday and it may have ramifications headed into November.
The former Attorney General is running in Alabama to get his old Senate seat back. However, in the primary election, he failed to win the majority for the seat and is now headed for a run-off.
President Trump did not mince words, “This is what happens to someone who loyally gets appointed Attorney General of the United States and then doesn’t have the wisdom or courage to stare down & end the phony Russia Witch Hunt.”
Republicans are attempting to win back Sessions Senate seat after it was lost to Democrat Doug Jones in a special election after Sessions was appointed attorney general. In November of 2018 Trump fired Sessions after a continued number of mistakes.
In the race to take on Jones former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville got the largest percentage at 32.2 percent, Sessions was close behind at 31.1, the runoff is scheduled for March 31st.
Until Wednesday President Trump has not gotten involved in the race but, the President is exactly right. Sessions did not stand up to the bullies in the Department of Justice like Barr is and now he is suffering the consequences, learning a very humbling lesson.
“Recuses himself on FIRST DAY in office, and the Mueller Scam begins!” Trump wrote.

Conservative author Ryan James Girdusky disagreed with the President and he feels that he should endorse Sessions.
Jeff Sessions was the first Senator to endorse you in 2016 when people like Lindsey Graham and Matt Schlapp we’re attacking you day and night.
Sessions has always stood for America First and you should endorse him for the Senate.

The President wants someone that is going to be loyal to him and Sessions has proven, he just doesn’t have it in him.
