Senate Republicans Getting Ready For War Over Whistleblower

There is a battle getting ready to play out in the Senate and both sides are getting warmed up. Now that President Trump’s impeachment trial is over the Senate Intelligence Committee is getting ready to dive into the Democrat impeachment effort.

The investigation is going to start a war over if the “whistleblower” testifies. When asked by reporters Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) said, “I think you can rest assured that I’m prepared to do whatever we have to interview the whistleblower.”

Burr did not give a timeline on when that interview would take place but said the interview will occur with “committee staff.”

The Senator appears to be waiting for two other final reports to wrap up on the probe into Russian election interference in the 2016 election but, Burr did say that the interview will be “sooner rather than later.”

Vice-Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) would not comment on if and when the whistleblower will testify.

“Chairman Burr and I are working on how we’re going to go through our proceedings. I’m really proud of the fact that we’ve managed for three and a half years to continue to put out broad, bipartisan reports,” Warner said. “I’m not going to get into any details on what we’re going to do. …We’ve been pretty close to the vest.”

Burr’s statement is in direct contrast from an anonymous source from the DNC that spoke with The Hill and said that it is a “top priority” to protect the whistleblower and that “we do not expect to be asked to cooperate with any effort that might endanger his or her safety.”

The DNC is protecting the whistleblower because they know when they interview him it could blow the lid off of the people that participated in the little coup they had entrenched in the swamp. Additionally, they need to keep the whistleblower from testifying because he very could expose Rep. Adam Schiff who’s orchestrated this whole mess.
