Actor Claims 2020 Trump Win Would Be The “End Of Democracy”

Actor Jeff Daniels appeared on MSNBC’s “Deadline White House.” Daniels was there to promote his Broadway play “To Kill A Mockingbird.” He plays as Atticus Finch, a respected lawyer, who ends up defending a black man in court. The play takes place in Alabama in the 1930s. Host Nicolle Wallace set the pace for the conversation by comparing the KKK to Trump supporters.

Wallace started off by talking about her experience watching the play and how she compared it to current politics.

“When the KKK comes they come for him and it’s Scout that recognizes one of her hooded neighbors joining him and I started sobbing I mean our children are watching…and it is this reminder that in this moment our politics our children are watching. Wallace said setting the theme for the discussion.

“The Children are watching and I live in Michigan. After the election, I was surprised at some of the people,” Daniels said thinking back to 2016. “I said, ‘Could you believe this election?’ And they go, ‘Yeah, isn’t it great?’ And you are going ‘Whoa.’ My wife is on Facebook and she goes ‘oh we got another Trumper,’ ya know, you didn’t see it coming.”

“Atticus goes through this, I know these people, they are good people and there are reasons why. He’s an apologist. He’s an enabler and I think that there are people in the midwest between the coasts who don’t care about this, don’t have time for this.”

“You have to decide whether, like Atticus, that you believe that there’s still compassion, decency, civility, respect for others, do onto others… all of that stuff you guys believe in and you still voted not for Hillary or for Trump, where are you now?”

“Because your kids are looking up at you going, ‘but he lies’ and I think there are a lot of people in the Midwest who are going, ‘sigh’. It might be enough for them. We’re gonna find out, you know, if the big gamble is to go all the way to November 2020, which I agree, and lose. It’s the end of democracy.”

You could tell Wallace was a little starstruck there. She was having trouble getting her part out. Daniels should stick to fiction. America is doing great, far better than Hillary Clinton would have done.

Hillary Clinton covered up her husband’s rapes in order to help him get into office. Policies aside this is not a good person. There are countless reasons why Trump was the better pick. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Look at what Trump is doing he is trying to fix the border, not bandaid it. He is trying to make policy to keep Americans safe. It’s Dems like Wallace and Daniels here that should be stopped as they push this anti-president narrative that hurts America.
