Conservative Journalist Has Had ENOUGH, Handcuffs Herself To Twitter HQ For Free Speech

On Thursday, self-described investigative journalist and activist Laura Loomer handcuffed herself to Twitter’s New York City headquarters to protest the company’s inconsistently applied “hate speech” policy and their recent ban of her account.

According to Daily Mail, Laura Loomer, 25, chained herself to the company’s front door in Chelsea on Thursday afternoon to protest the decision to shut down her Twitter account last week .

Loomer yelled through the door that Twitter employees worked for an ‘evil company’ during the nearly two-hour protest.

‘I am not going to stand by as people like Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg silence the voices of millions of conservatives,’ Loomer said.

Laura Loomer blew up Louis Farrakhan’s tweet calling Jews ‘termites’ and showed it side-by-side next to the tweet that she was banned over where she called out Democrat Ilhan Omar for being pro-Sharia law and then listed off how Sharia law targets women and the LGBT community.

The NYPD ended up using bolt cutters to remove the handcuffs after Loomer requested them to do so.

She was not arrested for the protest, which was livestreamed on Periscope, after Twitter declined to press charges.

Twitter issued a statement during the ordeal, saying: ‘We have notified the relevant authorities who are responding. The account holder was suspended for violating our policies. We apply the Twitter Rules impartially and not based on ideology.’

She previously had around 260,000 followers on the social-media platform, which says on its website that it strives for ‘a safe place for free expression’ and prohibits ‘abusive behavior.’

In the tweet, Loomer levelled multiple accusations at Omar, including that she was ‘anti-Jewish’, ‘pro Sharia’ and ‘pro-FGM (female genital mutilation)’, which were all based solely on her Muslim faith.

Loomer also said that under Islamic law, ‘homosexuals are oppressed’ and that ‘women are abused’ and ‘forced to wear the hijab.’

In a YouTube video responding to the ban, Loomer – who has often referred to herself as a martyr for the right-wing cause – said: ‘I’ve been silenced in America’. An unfortunate fact that hundreds of Conservative viewed social media users face today.
