de Blasio Comes Down On AOC Over Her Holocaust Comment

Dem Presidential Candidate de Blasio, appeared on MSNBC’s “Meet The Press Daily,” with Host Chuck Todd. He was asked many questions about Biden, the Dem frontrunner, and eventually even commented on AOC’s recent gaffe, where she had the nerve to compare our border detention centers to the Concentration Camps.

“I’m curious were you uncomfortable with the way AOC compared what’s going on down at the border with Concentration Camps?” Chuck Todd asked. “Because some people took offense to that. They said ‘hey, wait a minute.’ and this gets at language, this goes to the same thing-”

“100%,” de Blasio said before Todd could finish.

“This is somebody that may not understand what that means to some people. Todd finished.”

“They are entirely different realities,” de Blasio claimed.

“And so she was wrong, and you would be critical of her, you would tell her not to use that language?” Todd asked.

“I respect her greatly and I feel very close to her in terms of philosophy, but of course she was wrong,” de Blasio said of Ocasio-Cortez. “You cannot compare what the Nazis did in concentration camps, unfortunately, is without any historical, I mean, it’s a horrible moment in history. There is no way to compare.”

AOC’s direct tweet where she marginalized the Holocaust.

“The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border,” she said. “That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps.”

Chuck Todd had more to say about AOC’s absurd comparison.

AOC claims she was not referring to the Holocaust and replied to Chuck Todd.

“Well, – the fact that you slipped in “Nazi” when I never said that is pretty unfortunate. Almost as unfortunate as the fact that you spent this whole time w/o discussing DHS freezers, “dog pounds,” missing children, & human rights abuses that uphold use of this term.”

Todd may be wrong about Trump, but he definitely has AOC pegged right as a fool. Surprisingly AOC is not backing down. She is trying to defend her claim and looks to have brushed up on her history in order to do so.  But I don’t think she is fooling anyone when she says that she was not referring to the Holocaust.
