Possible Mass Shooting Thwarted By Armed Father Of Two [Video]

An unidentified father in Alabama got a lot more than he bargained for when he went to McDonald’s. The Father was on his out of the fast food restaurant with his two sons when he saw a masked man open fire inside. But lucky for everyone inside this father believed in the second amendment and was packing.

A shootout broke out as the masked gunman tried to fight off the hero father, but failed. The dad and one of his sons were wounded in the battle. But luckily for everyone inside the father was victorious and the gunman will never be a threat to anyone again.

Sgt. Bryan Shelton of the Birmingham Police commented on the incident.

“Things like this are difficult for both families. The gentleman who unfortunately lost his life, the teenage boy who is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and the father who is also recovering from his injuries. It’s not easy being a father and watching your child get injured, get hurt like that. It’s a really heartwrenching experience.”

The owner of the McDonald’s sent out a statement.

“The safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those injured and affected by this incident.”

One of the employees gave his account of the incident.

Marcus Washington immediately took flight and hid in the freezer when he heard the gunfire. He claims he heard 15 shots.

“I’m feeling grateful,” he told the station. “Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”

After the gunfire ceased Washington feared worse.

“All we hear is like different gunfire, so in my mind, I’m imagining everybody is dead. He’s looking for us,” he said. Washington added he was thankful the armed customer was there.

“He’s my hero. Because I can only imagine how it would’ve went if he wasn’t armed. We might not be here having this interview,” Washington said.

The father and son are expected to make a full recovery. It is believed that the father will be free of any charges for his heroism.
