Watch: Police Serve Up Justice On Hit And Run Driver That Caused Horrific Accident

A Florida man has caused quite the accident and what’s worse he decided to leave the scene of the crime.

Authorities have arrested the driver accused of critically injuring a teen in a horrific hit-and-run crash in Sarasota.

The Florida Highway Patrol said troopers arrested 24-year-old Zachari Brock of Bradenton “after an exhaustive criminal investigation.”

Brock is believed to have been the driver behind the wheel of a Kia minivan that hit 19-year-old Jack Kelley’s car on U.S. 41 in Sarasota on Thursday.”

The video shows Brock stopped southbound in the left turn lane on U.S. 41 around 7:45 a.m. and waiting to turn left into a RaceTrac gas station parking lot as Jackson Maxwell Kelley, of Bradenton, was headed northbound in a 2018 Audi.

The video shows Kelley bearing left to avoid the minivan, but was struck on the rear driver’s side, propelling it into the parking lot of Lantern Inn & Suites, 7251 14th St. W.”

Kelley’s car goes airborne and can be seen flipping through the parking lot of the Lantern Inn and Suites and taking out a portion of a pool fence. Troopers said Kelley was ejected from the car.

He was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to raise money for his medical expenses. The page says Kelley is in the ICU after undergoing surgery.”

Jack Kelley’s father Micheal commented about the incident thanking the police.

Thank God for FHP,” he says. “They did their due diligence. The officer was supposed to be off this weekend, one of them who handled the investigation, who was at the scene of the crime, and he says, ‘You know what? I need to be there and find this out and solve this,’ so they did it.”

Zachari Brock is being charged with driving without a valid license involving a serious injury and leaving the scene of a crash involving a serious injury, both of which are felonies.
