Trump Takes On World Leaders For The Betterment Of American Businesses

Trump Makes A Move To Better American Trade.

The G7 summit is supposed to be a meeting among allies that usually goes off without a hitch and does not make the news like it did this year. But that is due to our President taking a stand against the bad policy that previous leaders allowed. Trump was at the G7 summit and he made waves when he discussed evening out the playing fields when it comes to trading.

“We tackled a variety of issues and opportunities facing our nations, at the top the list was the issue of trade. A very important subject because The United States has been taken advantage of for decades and decades. We can’t do that anymore. We had extremely productive discussions on the need to have fair and reciprocal, meaning the same. People can’t charge us 270% and we charge them nothing, that doesn’t work anymore.”

“We want and expect other nations to provide fair market access to American exports. We will take whatever steps are necessary to protect American Industry and workers from unfair foreign trading practices, which really there are many. But we are getting them straightened out.”

Canada charges the U.S. a 270% tariff on Dairy Products! They didn’t tell you that, did they? Not fair to our farmers!”

But Trudeau did not take this news sitting down. Trump’s proposed increased Tariffs have the Canadian Prime minister claiming there will be retaliatory sanctions in response.

It would be with regret, but it would be with absolute certainty and firmness that we move forward with retaliatory measures on July 1 applying equivalent tariffs to the ones that the Americans have unjustly applied to us,” Trudeau said. “I have made it very clear to the president that it is not something we relish doing but it is something that we absolutely will do because Canadians, we’re polite, we’re reasonable but we also will not be pushed around.”

How is it retaliatory when we are just trying to get to equal? Seems like Canada, like many other countries, is just used to a weak U.S. President. But they now face one that is not scared to stand up to countries that have been taking advantage of the US.
